Joey A

Grew up in the Castor Gardens section of Philadelphia.  Attended Philadelphia Public Schools and then went to Empire Beauty School - Graduated in 2005.  

Has been in the industry for quite sometime now and everyday is truly a learning experience.  Started in his parents basement during High School.  Attending Empire Beauty School gave me the opportunity to work in plenty of different shops here are some notable ones: Holland Barber Shop (Jimmy was the owner at the time),  Navy Exchange in NE Philly, Head Artist Barber Shop, Hair Razor & L.B. Cuts.

 In 2008 I left the industry to start a new career that was short lived only until 2012 when I decided to come back into the hair industry full time. 

 I've been cutting in the Mayfair/Holmesburg Section of Philadelphia since 2012.  

In 2016, I opened up my first shop and it has been a great experience.  The shop name that my family chose is actually L. K. T. Trendsetters Salon. 

The "L.K T." stands for my kids names (Landon, Kingston and Trayce) Trendsetters was a name they picked out.  I always said my kids will pick out my business name because at the end of the day it's only for them and no one else.
